Low boost after delete ?

Just deleted my truck. SCT X4 with custom tunes from Rudy’s diesel. No limit block off plates and race pipe. Only had it done for a couple days. Noticed more smoke than I thought should be normal after a delete. Btw, I’m running tow tune.
Called Rudy’s for advice, and they say you’ve probably got a boost leak. So, I take it out and romp on the pedal and only get about 21 psi boost.

Used to get 30 pre delete. I’ve checked my block off plate and the cold side CAC tube (which I replaced a couple months ago with metal tube from Rudy’s) and all seem fine. Any ideas? I should still be getting at least 28-30 pounds of boost, shouldn’t I? Thanks for any help.

Running their tow tune I see 27psi still. I have a 16 with blocked off egr, just removed single tube and replaced with blank on egr and egt probe for manifold. I have only seen visible smoke once on a right turn. This was very minor, significantly less than my 7.3 would. Either plate on manifold is leaking, may try new gasket, or EGR valve doesn't seal could be a possible cause as well. Just thinking out loud. Perhaps pic of your install?

Thanks for the info. I’ll double check (again) all the plates and gaskets. I’m starting to think maybe it’s the EGT plate? The adapter fitting for the pyro didn’t go in very far.

Did you unplug the throttle body after doing everything? Most tunes require it to be unplugged

Did you stay with the factory air intake? Is the MAF sensor fully seated and connected back proerply?

Just running through the things I've seen.

Did you install a temp sensor in the block off plate? If so, which one?

Yes, factory airbox. MAF is fully seated but it does have some wiggle in it. I used a new EGT probe from the DPF to go into the block off plate.

I’m thinking my cold side CAC tube connector (Rudy’s upgrade) may be the problem. It’s got some wiggle to it as well. I think I’m going to try a new o ring and ring clamp.

A leak at the IAT2 sensor would cause your issue. I've also heard of that sensor being backwards causing issues like yours.

I’ll look into that. Thanks
