Help ! 460 Heads Selection
More confused than usually. Have a stock 1987 F250 460 carburetor. Used mainly for pulling car trailer, traveling back and forth NY to VA. Upon removal, heads don't look too healthy. 
E6TE code on heads. Having trouble finding re-man heads. (Don't want to get into aluminum ones). Any suggestions as to what else/years would work ok. EFI heads have different rocker covers.Thanks in advance.

If you are looking for simple and your heads are re usable, just clean them up put new valve seals in, open up the exhaust ports a tad and you will be doing well. Swap out the Cam timing set for the straight up timing version(order one for an 88-98 460.

Back from the machine shop. He agreed that the heads are pretty rough. Will magnaflux 1st, then see about milling the surface where the exh. ports are, then dunk and new seats.
Had a chance to get a pair of DOVE heads a year ago.....but, didn't need them then...
