Spring codes
I need some help. I want to soften the ride on my truck. I don't need the 1 ton payload cap...1/2 ton would do just fine...
The details -
'95 F350 4WD Crew Cab
351 gas motor.
VIN # 1FTJW36H3SEA75122
spring code T4F.
I'm told by a spring manufacturer that the existing springs are Ford P/N E5TZ5310M rated at 1,960 lbs each.
I'm also told that lighter springs are (or were) available (Ford P/N E5TZ5310J) rated at 1,375 lbs each.
Questions:
Do any of you have experience using these light springs on this style F350?
Were various spring stiffness options offered for this truck?
Ford parts dept. will not / can not answer any questions except to say that the existing P/N is correct for this truck.
(Me "Are other springs available". Ford parts "no comment")
(Me "What is the load rating for these springs". Ford parts "no comment")
What's with these guys?
BTW..I've added:
- Off Road Unlimited's reverse shackle kit..big improvement.
- Velvet Ride shackles...barely noticible change..for this truck, it wasn't worth the money.
- Rancho 9000's on the front / 5000's on the rear..noticible change but not much..I still like 'em.
Appreciate any advice you can offer.
