351w ignition system troubles

So I have an 86 351w in my f250 that is driving me mad. I had a no start issue so I narrowed it down to ignition system....long story short, I have rebuilt the wire harness from the ignition module to the distributer, swapped distributors, replaced stator in original distributer and put back in, new napa coil, New echlin ignition module, and swapped out ignition switch. What it does now, is it will start as long as key is in start position then shut off when roll back to run position.....but....if I get the rpms up past 1500 and stay above that, it will stay running while in run position. As soon as it drops below 1500 it just shuts off. I have messed with the timing and no luck. It’s a duraspark system.

I think on some DSII distributors the reluctor may have two different slots/positions for the roll pin to set in....is it possible when you replaced the stator, the reluctor was placed in the wrong position?
