I just picked up a really nice extended 01' 5.4l cargo van. I used to have an 89 E250 that the floor was rotted out due to moisture being trapped under the padding under the full length floor mat. I do not want to have that happen again.
I want to cut the rubber mat out and remove the factory padding, but I like the grip it provides for my dirtbikes. Is there some sort of roll on or spray on rubber grip I can put down to mimic the floor mats?
I used Monstaliner roll on for the exterior of my van. Good product. I had the interior with bed liner when I bought the van. Good protection but you will not get any sound proofing. I am covering with neoprene mats from harbor freight, plywood and carpet. You could use the mats, plywood and paint mixed with sand for traction on top of the plywood.
