It appears as a 272/292, not OEM for a 66.

Can you post a VIN so ND can break it down for you?

it is something i am looking at online. Seller says it all original DRW 1966.

I assume from my 460 exprience that I could drop a 460 with bellhousing in there if i fab the mounts. If not adding a trans would nout be an issue since it is rwd

What is the size/series of the truck?

If you post the VIN we can see what engine it was assembled with.

If it's a manual you can add a bell, clutch and roll. Can't tell from the pic? Actually you can drop any combo with a 460. Just can't use this tranny if it's an automatic for bell housing will be cast onto tranny and wrong bolt pattern.

BS! The seller doesn't have a single clue!
This is a Y block, Y block valve covers are retained to the heads with two studs per side that poke thru the covers.

Y blocks have the distributor behind the carburetor. No 1965 and later truck came with one of these engines.

1965/66 "dump" truck with DRW, depending on if it's a F350 or F500/750, could have:

Either a 352 FE V8 engine (F350), or a 330 2V Medium Duty; 330 2V Heavy Duty; 361 2V; 391 4V FT V8 engine (F500/750).

Both the FE and FT valve covers are retained to the heads with 5 valve cover bolts per side, the distributor is in front of the carburetor.

(sigh) Most ebay and craigslist sellers haven't a single clue what parts fit, even if they are brand new w/a part number marked on them.
