Centramatic Wheel Balancer

I installed the Centramatic Wheel Balancer - and it is working amazingly well. I wanted to report that here.

I was a little skeptical it would work, but was willing to try anything to get my tire vibration under control. I have new 37" Mickey Thompson tires and paid extra for "Road Force" balance but still had a vibration at 45mph.

I heard about "balancing beads" on the RV forum. A large number of Coach owners use the beads and report that they work.

The Centramatic http://www.centramatic.com/ is the same concept except rather the beads going inside the tire, they are in a separate disc that mounts between tire and hub. I think balancing beads would even work better since the would be spinning further out from the hub (i.e. inside the tire) but the Centramatic is easier to install ( don't need to break down tire) and easier to move to another vehicle or reuse after a tire change.

So they work. My tire balancing issue is gone.

Here's a photo of it (it is mounted behind my 1-1/4" wheel spacer.
