Throttle Position Sensor
Recently I replaced the tps sensor in my 1990 f150 .I'm still having problems ,so I hooked a volt meter up to the tps and it reads 5 volts throttle idle engine off.Which is kind of ridiculous considering the tps is supossed to read .71 to 1.29 volts.I'm going to check to make sure the tps is in the right position with a ohm meter. Can anyone tell me if this is the right approach.I'm pretty sure I did this correct the first time but who knows, after about a million hours testing things they all kind of blend together.

Throttle Position Sensor
Sounds like you are checking the VREF wire instead of TP. KOEO will be 5 volts on VREF .7 to almost 5.0 varing with throttle position on TP. Wire color is DG/LG. Also wire is in center positon on connector.
