The yellow "F47" has the license plate mounted on the firewall...under Canadian law does this qualify as having a front plate installed? Never seen that before...
No, he had the legal one mounted on the rear bumper. BC Motor Vehicle Act says that you also have to have a front plate, but it is often overlooked by Police, especially in the case of a vintage vehicle.
