Does anyone know if there is an aftermarket skid plate for the 2013 Ford escape. Mine is trashed because kwick lube oil change place did not install the plate correctly (left 2 bolts off). The dealer wants over $200 for a new one. and they are junk cardboard ish felt material. I have read where this is a common issue.
Thanks

They are indeed not the most durable items on the vehicle. I have yet to find an aftermarket one but will search. If the bolts are overtightened, they will strip, if bolts are left off, the wind can rip it off, and if you nudge up too close to some parking barriers or curbs the right side will catch and rip. Again, not a great design. Ford could have made a plastic design that pushed up when curbed and had better permanent clasping devices. Oh well.
Thanks, I believe that is the front under bumper shield. I found this, this morning but it is from China, not just built there but bought from there so I am a little leary. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/JGRT...999.261.Qf54t4
I just ordered it and will post a follow up when I get it and install it. It is supposed to have access for the oil filter, drain and Turbo.
Please let us know how it fits. Looks like a solid replacement for the original. Good job researching it. The KUGA has been around for a while now so aftermarket parts are everywhere.
