17 Questions

So I have a few questions and some of you guys know that I have been down this road before.

I have a guy that wants to by my truck, he's waiting for the check from his truck sale to clear before he can buy mine, so he's in a hurry to do the deal with me, however I'm not prepared totally. So I told him if I don't find what I want I'm not selling my truck and Ill just pursue the dually conversion, no skin off my back.

Anyway down to the questions I have.

I've found a few trucks that fit the bill for me after spending most of last night searching, the few that I have narrowed it down to are missing a few features that I would love to have, not deal breaking by any means but things I currently have in my 06.

Can up fitters be added to a 17 as easy as they were to add to the 05-16 trucks, I've read different things regarding that.

second thing is I would love to have the factory 5th wheel prep but the few I've narrowed it down to do have it, can it be added or is everyone still using the B&W set up?

I've been looking at Lariat, Lariat Ultimate, and KR trucks. Its tough to tell from pictures but I don't want the sunroof, can those trucks be had without them, and if they have them will it be listed separately on the options list or is it part of the package?

Last question, when did the Job 2 trucks start production.

I'm also looking for good used 15-16 trucks as well. I'm really trying to locate 16 F350 with the max tow option to get the wide track.

Sorry for all the questions, I just don't have a whole lot of time to do a lot of research.

Lariat Ultimate comes with the sunroof. I'm not aware of a way to delete that. I believe there is a recent thread where a forum member added the upfitter switches.

5th wheel prep can be added as a dealer option. But it may not be as clean as when it comes from the factory.

February 20, 2017, according to the January 5, 2017 Order Guide. Our truck was built on March 3 (IIRC) and is a Job 2 version.

Assuming we’re discussing the CrewCab configuration, the two-panel moonroof is an option on the 2017 Lariat and Lariat + Value Package. It’s included in the Lariat’s Ultimate option.

For 2018 the Lariat Ultimate Package does not include the sunroof! This allows you to get the Ultimate options and you can also get quad beam, retractable boards etc. That was the deciding factor for me to wait for '18. I ordered this past weekend.

**It is a lot tougher to add them on the 2017s.

**It can be added after the fact. Dealer ordered or the Reese stuff can be added from online.

**All the trucks can be had without the sunroof, just have to pay attention to packaging. Any Ultimate truck will have it.

Last question, when did the Job 2 trucks start production.

**2/20/2017

So my quest to find a 16 left over anyone wants to deal on is failing miserably. I'm not sure why anyone wont make me a smoking deal on a left over, I got so frustrated tonight talking to a woman a state over and she couldn't grasp the concept that I can buy a 17 cheaper that a 16, truck for truck.

I do have a question that maybe can or can not be answered. Will a F-150 console fit in an XLT superduty. I'm not a huge fan of the jump seat and found a truck that I really like but it has the jump seat...Its even a manual 4x4 truck, right up my alley.
