Hi, it's been a while but I've been having problems with my passenger side mirror. I have a 2012 F-250 6.2 Gas Crew Cab short bed. What happened is about 1 year after purchase (brand new) the passenger side mirror began to stop folding in with the switch. I figured it was a luxury and didn't need it so I stupidly never took it in to be fixed and at the time it would still work every once in a while. Well this went on for a while until it stopped working all together. The motor works but it acts like the gears are stripped. It still wouldn't be an issue for me (5 years later) but someone screwed with it in the parking lot and now I can't get it to sit straight now. It wants to sit one click inward and I can't get the mirror adjusted far enough out to see. Well obviously ford told me (basically) to take a flyin leap. Because it's out of warranty, they won't help me. So I sent an IM to Ford Service and they said to look into "Satisfaction Program 14N02" but what I'm seeing with this program is it has nothing to do with the mirrors. Does anybody have any ideas of how to get this fixed? It was my fault for not taking it in under warranty but it's Fords fault for a faulty mechanism. I shouldn't have to pay approximately $1200 for a new mirror that should have worked in the first place. I've also talked to other Superduty owners who have had the same problem but they were smart enough to fix it under warranty.
