Transmission Swap
I had purchased a 76 F-100 Custom SB 302 with a 3 speed manual transmission. It was 3 on the tree, and the previous owner switched it to 3 on the floor. I enjoy driving standard in the truck, but really want to put a 4 or 5 speed manual in it. I was wondering what a good manual transmission to put in the truck is, or your guys recommendations. Hopefully its something I can get at a pick and pull. Would I have to get a new bell housing, can I re-use my clutch?

2WD SB is about as light as our trucks can get. This opens up some options. A ZF5 would be doable, and would be indestructible, but really big and clunky compared to other options. The Mazda 5 speed from the newer F150's is a thought. T5WC would be okay, as long as you weren't dumping big power in to it.
