My wife and I were at a restaurant in a coastal town. It was on the second floor.
The wind was very gusty. Several people who were seated near the windows
were pointing and saying "I wonder who's car that is?". The wind had pushed
the dumpster out of the alley and down the side of my week old car.
quit shopping at WalMarts, it's a magnet for morons, and as far as the flags flying from the truck, it's a statement and I understand the "message"
I can't. I live 15 minutes from Walmart hq. You have no clue how many there are. They have super centers, walmarts , neighborhood markets even have a gas station here now. Which will be going up every where soon.
What also disturbs me is now you can pull up get your stuff with out even walking in. This includes the groceries side. And now they are advertising they except ebt ( food stamps ) payments. So now you don't have to work to buy food or even shop for it.
I get it not everyone on food stamps and welfare are scammers of lazy. Just 99% of them are.
I keep my 2017 F350 in the garage and use my $4000 f250 beater to run errands. Seems ridiculous but with people being the way they are these days. People are so rude anymore.
I just posted yesterday in the Facebook 2017 Super Duty group about watching some jackasses in a parking lot let their cart hit and damage another vehicle. They looked at the damage and then left without leaving a note or even seeming to care. Thankfully, my dashcam was still running so I went and left a note with the vehicle's license plate number and a message saying to call me if they want the video clip to use if they decide to go after the people.

Heck they will now deliver food not only to your home, but right to your fridge if you want them in your house when your not there.

I remember my dad talking about the constant shopping cart issues when I was growing up. He was a grocery store manager for 30 years and he said there was just no end of people coming into the store wanting compensation for their car getting hit by shopping carts.
He spent more time calming them down and explaining that shopping carts hitting cars is more often than not lazy people just shoving them off to "wherever" instead of returning them. Most stores aren't liable so keep that in mind (not saying you were going that way with this OP).
I kept that in mind while at Walmart a couple of years ago when I walked out to my truck. The lady parked next to me was loading groceries in her trunk as I opened my driver door and hopped in and fired up the truck. As I start to back up I hear the backup alert going off so I look in the side mirror and she had literally just put her cart behind my truck.
I got back out and moved the cart behind her car again then looked at her in her rearview with the "really?!" look. Back in the truck and left shaking my head the whole time...
A few years ago I was waiting for my wife in a large grocery store parking lot. Much of the lot is on a grade. A man of the cloth had finished loading his groceries and was trying to "park" the cart so it would not roll away, after he fussed with it for a minute, he must have been satisfied it would stay put. As he drove away, sure enough, the cart went into motion and headed for another car. I bolted out of my truck and managed to grab it just before it would have hit the car. It stunned me that a preacher would be so lazy or uncaring about the consequences of his actions or lack of same.
Like some others, my wife and I return ours and other peoples carts to where they belong, and although I don't have one I would easily qualify for a handicapped permit.

Actually, most of the people that work at WalMarts are on some type of aid including food stamps. A better question would be "just how much money do the Waltons need?" I don't support WalMarts for the obvious!!!
Back when I had my 07, it was the Harley edition which had the painted flames on the doors. Someone at home depot put their cart next to my passenger door which I never saw. Started it up, put it in Drive and pulled out of the spot. The side step clipped the shopping cart and hooked onto it dragging it. End result, long scratch down passenger door resulting in $1,300 in paint damage.
To this day, I ALWAYS return my shopping carts. Damn lazy people these days.
This is going to be a depressing thread but I want to do my part. I've already told the story of the door ding from an environ-mental whack job and more recently the key down the length of my rear passenger door. Here's one not truck related but includes similar quality people.
I was in the immigration line last week at Paris De gaulle with my back pack on when I feel someone tugging on one of the zippered pockets. I turn around to see an Indian guy quickly pull his hand back and stare at me. I'm thinking, did this guy just try to get in my pack? So I moved my face about 12 inches from his and told him to keep his hands off my stuff. He just did that weird head bobble shake and tried to blow it off. It was a tense few seconds until he stepped back and let the person behind him get in front of him. I then told that guy to watch his stuff. Some people.
You are much nicer than I am - I would have made a scene and had airport security there. I hate to say it but much of the world outside of the US has little respect for personal space or personal property. Glad it turned out ok.
I have a few pet peeves, numero uno is people that don't put their carts in a cart coral or back up to the store. Drives me crazy how many lazy people are out there.
Not to mention I live in Kentucky, it's very hilly out here, no parking lot is level, so those carts roll away very easily.
But the dude in the Dodge is an ******** for pushing the cart with his truck.
