sweet.... a new, cheaper way to travel!!! I gotta think the box would get kinda stuffy after a while.... and the way some of those shipping companies treat their merchandise --- I'm not sure I'd want to risk my life doing it!

once again our government finds out that there is a flaw in the system somewhere. Hope they watch a little closer....sad to think they could start shipping terrorist over!

I don't think there could be...if he paid all the frieght fees. and I don't think they would deliver without them....that being the case, sounds to me like he paid for his trip!

In the regulations concerning air frieght, there are guidlines referring to what can and cannot be shipped, in what kind of container. Placing a live creature in a crate not marked for that purpose is illegal, and prosecutable by law..

Does this mean, had he written "live animal" on the side, he would have been ok.

LOL, the guy should have made horrible monster like noises as he was breaking out. Imagine how freaked the delivery guy would have been!

This what I am wondering. It says they arrested him for an outstanding warrent, and no charges have been filed...

They arrested him on old warrant he had. Plus he billed the cost to his employer, so lose job goto jail and face new prosocution.

Plus the news here just said it was 500 bucks vs 320 for a ticket on a real plane.

Idiot

Aren't the package handlers supposed to x-ray all cargo now? Shouldn't they have seen him in the crate before they put him on the plane?

I bet he shipped himself because he had that outstanding warrant and was afraid that his name would pop up in some computer and get busted as soon as he landed. Would have been a good plan (sort of?) if he had just waited 5 minutes to break out of the box.
