1953 F100 BUILD

1953 F100 Build Thread.

Mostly stock with a few period changes. Started out as a Kentucky farm truck that someone attempted to restore poorly.

Ford 292
Front Disc Brakes
3 Speed Trans
Dual Exhaust Glasspacks
Headers
Will be black...I think.

Delivery day...

Fresh 292 mock up...sweet wheels!

Disassembly

More disassembly

Tear down done...

Frame back from powder coat.

Assembly started.

Suspension starting to get added.

New front brakes.

Stock size rollers.

Cool decal!

Tranny and drive line in...

Bed mock up.

Rear end view

Cab going back on to head to paint and body...

Seeing sun for the first time in a while.

That looks great. I see that you made the right choice on the headers.

And you went with all new steel on the box?

They must be selling a lot of beds lately. Their prices are good. I feel sorry for the 48 to early 50 owners as that bed is more expensive. I got the bed for my 54 from them for $600. That was only the two sides, front panel, and rear cross member. I picked it up at the spring Carlisle to save the freight.

Very clean build, looks great. I noticed some recesses added to your wind deflectors...what did you use?
