Had a weird thing start the other day. The radio will play with the key out of the ignition after the door has been opened. This is the standard factory radio. The other day when I opened the rear door, no key in ignition the radio came on????

My wife had what turned out to be a crimped usb cable in her car that was causing weird issues with the radio, including not turning off. Unplug the usb cable if you are using one and see whst happens.

 

I don't understand what USB cable you are talking about, this is the factory radio that is unaltered.

 

she would plug her phone into the car's usb port with a usb cable. Therefore, it would be an external usb cord - if you're not using one, then this wouldn't apply.
