Here is an update on the Central PA Mountain Truckstock and a tentative schedule for Thursday September 21 thru Sunday September 23.
Thursday: meet and greet and hangout at the Bald Eagle State Park.
Friday: drive to Lock Haven (13 miles away) to the Piper Museum. Photo ops with Piper Cubs. Approximately from 9:00 to 12:00
Lunch at the Train Station, my favorite local restaurant. 12:00 to 1:30
Drive to Hyner View Lookout (23 miles from Lock Haven) 2:00 to ????
Evening: hang out at Bald Eagle State Park and tell body shop horror stories around camp fire.
Saturday: Drive to local private auto collection in Mackeyville to look at Grant Miller's cars: 10 to 11:30
11:30 to 12:30: Visit a local used car dealer that has a vintage looking gas station building with lots and lots of auto memorabilia with pics at his vintage pumps.
1:00 to ??? Cookout at my place
Evening: hang out at Bald Eagle State Park
Sunday: depart. all are welcome to attend church with me at Mill Hall at Tri County Church: North Central (https://tcconline.church) 10:45 am
If you haven't contacted me to tell me you are coming, you still have time to do so! The Nature Inn is full but campsites are still available. If you don't camp, there are motels in Milesburg 5 miles away or in Lock Haven, 13 miles away.
These plans are only suggestions and are tentative. We can do more or less. It will be up to the guys attending.

Every time I see one of your posts about this meet I regret it more that I won't be able to make it. I was really looking forward to attending when you first brought it up but things happen. Work is the biggest problem. The last four years have be "stressful". Right now I'm again working for myself but have jobs that have to be completed in the next month so no time to take off. Also, I would only attend if I drove the F-2 and right now I don't think it's quite up to par for such a trip. Nothing major, just need to go through the brakes and suspension and a few other maintenance items but just don't have the time to take of them. For the guys who don't want to make the 3-4 hour drive in their old trucks I'd do it in a minute if I could. I drove 800 miles one way back 2012 to attend the inaugural FTE at Doc's and it was the best trip I have ever done. It's only a little over 700 to this event for me, man, I wish I could make it. I figure it would only be about a fifteen hour drive, one way, that's a lot of quality time with the wife and F-2. I'd take the F-2 on the ferry across the Susquehanna.
We were out in that part of the country about 10-12 years ago to pick up my panel truck just outside of Hershey in Palmyra. From there we traveled around the state to meet up with a few truck friends including our own Dick Crabtree.

Thanks for the nice plug about driving old trucks to truckstock. Sorry you can't make it. I know you're not just blowing smoke. About the ferry, we are West of the main stem of the Susquehanna. You'd have to drive another 1.5 hours, maybe 2 in an F2 to get to that.
I hope thungt settle down for you so you can come east next year.

I'll second what Bob said about an extended road trip to attend a Truckstock event. It will be an adventure you will never forget. Like Bob, I can't make it this year, but I sure hope to next year. Maybe Bob and I can get a little caravan going--picking up members as we make our way east.

Anyone else planning on coming to the Central PA Mountain Truckstock? We are like a week and a half away from the first day. You can come in Thursday the 20th, Friday or Saturday. You can come in for the day or stay all 3 nights. If you don't want to go to the Piper museum or Hyner view you can stay at the State Park. There is a Woolrich outlet store in the nearby village of Woolrich your wife might like.

if you plan on coming or even if it is a spur of the moment thing, please PM me here and I'll give you my cell number or email me at: abestauffer@msn.com
We will be flexible on what we do. But let me know when you are coming so I can let you know if we'll be at the Bald Eagle State Park or on the road somewhere.
