Transmission dying help needed
So my truck is a 1990 F 250 with the manual 4 speed that has no overdrive. Syncros have been bad since I got it, the gears grind really bad in first and reverse no matter what, without me manually rpm matching it grinds from second to third and 3rd to 4th sometimes. 1st to 2nd is the only transition that dosent grind. It has started making new noises lately and seems to be getting looser and "bouncing" more. Would it be better to get my transmission rebuilt or just get a new one with overdrive. And what would the cost be for a rebuild? Thanks in advance
