volare sway bar bushing replace

little help please I have a 1954 ford f-100 with a 302 and t-5 tranny and I need to replace the outer sway bar bushings by the lower A arms. I need to jack up the front of the truck to get underneath but my question is do I need to lift the A arm and wheel to replace the bushings? Concerned about hanging pressure when I remove each side. Bill

No tension on sway bar when both wheels are level. That said, when that sway bar hangs down the angle of the bar to the lower control arm gets steep. I would jack up the truck and then place jack stands under each control arm and lower it back down to ride stance to keep the angle manageable.

Thanks Charlie, getting so old I have to check myself on everything. Going to do this right now and put in my new speedo cable while I'm at it. Bill
