ccleaner virus
I know that Hanklin uses this software and maybe others do as well.
It's a pretty good and free product, but somebody slipped some malware into it.
Version 5.313362 ( I think ) is at least one of the bad versions. It was released in August. The 5.34 just released has been fixed.
I had the bad stuff on 2 machines, but I don't know what , if any, effect it had.
The company is reputable, they got hacked.
On a side note Avast was talking about how many users were affected. Strangely, Avast found no issues when I ran scans with this stuff installed.
