Show me your tints!

Going to likely be getting the windows tinted here in the next couple weeks, and was hoping to see the percentages that you all have done front and rear and how it looks. All colors welcome, but I'd really like to see how it looks if you have a shadow black truck like mine. Post pics with percentages front and rear that you tinted them!

Are they still using the film stuff they were using back in the 80's when i was getting it? Peeling and marking from rolling the window? These trucks (CC and SC)look stupid with the fronts not tinted. But I hate that cheesy film crap. I would rather have the rears match the fronts with no(little) tint

3m ceramic tint here. These days, with ceramic, you dont have to go super dark to block the heat. They look really sweet blacked out, but sucks when you cant see anything at night. I chose not to go really dark so i can see at night, and im really happy as i can see great in the dark, and they look pretty good in the day. Honestly forgot the percentage as im not a big tint guy, i just put some film up to it at a tint shop and chose what i thought was best looking. Only tinted the front two, others are factory. I have the 3m

Well, that certainly looks much better than stock. At least theres some continuity between the front and back windows. What is "ceramic" tint? I havent looked into tint in ages. Is it still a film? Or something they bake onto the glass.

Tint

I just asked my local tint shop to tint the front windows, and to match the back window tint. The back passenger and rear window were factory tint. Not sure if 20 or 35%. Looks good, and helps with heat and privacy.

Dang that looks nice, I'm sure very illegal (I'd know, I've had 2 misdemeanor tint violations in Kansas&#128520, but I'd have to imagine hard as heck to see out of at night. What state are you in if you don't mind me asking? Kansas was a nightmare about tint (cops had nothing better to do there I guess). Texas the cops never bothered, but the retarded inspection to get your tags done would fail you for front windows below 35% or tint below the AS1 line on windshield. Colorado doesn't seem bad, and I've never been stopped in my unmarked ride that is tinted like yours, but only about the top 40% of the windshield is covered.

my rear windows look the same, I may just go that route of doing the fronts only.

it's not too bad to see out of at night, most people who ride in it doesn't even realize the windshield is tinted .. I live in wv and 35% is as dark as you can go legally but I've only been pulled over once and it was in my work truck .. were suppose to have yearly inspection stickers but I never get one obviously lol

I had a Texas (Pasadena)Motorcycle cop get an attitude and tell me my Brow tint was illegal. He had an attitude as soon as he walked up. When I said what's the problem, he said it was too wide (can can only go 5" from top of windshield or above the "AS1" line) When I called him out and said "no its not illegal, its above my AS1 line" and pointed to it, he got butt hurt It surprised him that I knew the law I guess.
