2016 Expy first impression

I just rented a limited with the ecoboost for the weekend, with 50k on it. Possibly a replacement for my 05 Excursion. The engine has great power, shifts smooth, has tow haul (no sport mode). Its a boxy design with lots of room inside. I thought it should have auto up/down on all the windows not just the drivers. The drivers side mirror squeaks when power folding in/out. The 3rd row seats power up/down is a nice feature. I haven't sat in the 2nd row seats, i know my excursion has way more room there. The large side vent windows open like the excursion. Im not sure how large the gas tank is but the display showed 530 miles to empty. The leather seats are very comfortable, and the cooled option is nice. I wish i had the keyless start/stop on my f150, thats a great feature. The spot lights under the mirrors are a cool feature. Only the fogs are led type, headlights look like projector type. The digital displays a lot of information, oil pressure ok is different.

Have you towed with it yet? Anything you don't like? At 50,000 the tires are almost worn out, making some road noise. looks lie around 14 mpg if i use my light foot.

I've towed my boat (3500 lbs) and dirtbike trailer (3000 lbs dual axle). Both towed like a dream. Hopefully you mean you get 14 mpg while towing!

Nothing I don't like. Trailer brakes work perfectly. I didn't even know they were hooked up (bought used 2007 Haulmark). Very happy with this truck.

I did notice after starting I could leave the key at home and drive away! Just don't shut it off!

You mean towing? I get around 14 driving 75 while towing my boat or tailer. Regular driving I average about 22 per tank. I can get much higher. From work to home, combination city/highway, I can get 27 if I lock in 60 on cruise control and take it easy. Can get much higher if I don't go over 50, like 35 mpg!

driving at 75 no towing, she went back to the dealer i rented from I'm going to wait to buy, my excursion has 4 bucket seats with tremendous room. The chrome on the shifter/vents is annoying in the sun. The double sun shade is half the size of the excursion. The expedition was very smooth despite the tires were almost worn out. The turbo 's are very similar with the power they build. The excursion is closer to 3/4 ton and has a lot of super duty in her blood!
