Stowable loading ramp kit question

I'm looking for measurements on the tailgate mounting plate for the F150 stowable loading ramp kit. I purchased a F350 from dealer stock which included the stowable loading ramp kit. I will be adding a canopy for trailering and do not need the loading ramps. I've looked at several F150s and it appears that the loading ramp kit may be the same for both. The dimensions for the tailgate mounting plate on my rig are 58 7/8" x 10 1/4". There are 8 holes for mounting screws which are evenly spaced in two rows. If the plate is compatible with the F150 it will definitely increase my odds of selling my kit.

Thanks

Not sure what you're talking about. I have the ramp kit, and they connect to the tailgate with a sliding mechanism. Kind of like keder rail in reverse.

He is talking about the aluminum plate that is attached to the tailgate the the sliding ramps attack to. it does come off by removing the bolts and then you have a standard tailgate.

Once you take that plate off, the actual tailgate access panel is still there. The bolts that are with the ramp plate go with it and will not work to reattach the tailgate access panel beneath it, since they are too long. You will need to order a new set of bolts or trade with whoever buys yours (that's what I did).

I bought my truck off the lot already equipped with the ramps. I found them awkward and never had a use for them. They were hard to find a buyer for. Eventually I sold them to a guy who uses them to haul his golf cart.

I don't know if the Super Duty tailgate pice will fit an F150. My guess is that they are the same part, but you would have to check it against another. A Ford part search or stopping by you local dealer's parts counter would probably help.

Also, let your salesman know, he might have a customer who wants them.

Shipping would be expensive, maybe putting where you are would interest someone local. What are you wanting for them?

I measured the mounting holes in mine (1 1/2"; 20 1/4"; 38 1/2" and 57 1/4") which does not match the F150 unless someone is willing to drill additional holes in the aluminum tailgate plate.Oh well, it was a nice thought while it lasted.

Thanks
