79 crew cab 4x4
ok so i have the opertunity to buy a 79 crewcab 4x4 and im not sure what condition it is in. im going to look at it saturday.
so what i would like to know is what engine and trans combination would come in this truck stock
and is there anything i should take a good look at
I know to look in the "gutters" for rust and any of the rear part of the cab for rust

Stock factory? 4wd 351M or 400 and a NP-435 manual 4 spd or a C-6 auto with a NP 205 gear to gear transfer case.
If it have been put together maybe a 460 and 4 spd and NP 205.

A 3.725 gal bucket of unicorn tears and 1.983 bucket of gold hens teeth would be easier to find. I am sure the Crew Cab section guys have all the leads on those parts.
Same for rear door pull straps and door handles.
