79 Cab Rust

I have a 79 F-350 4x4 with the usual rust areas (cab corners, seams around door jams, etc.). I noticed now that I have some bumps starting to bubble up from the rain gutters on the cab. I was wondering if this cab is getting to far gone and should look for a new donor cab? I live in Delaware and it seems that any good cabs are in Texas, Arizona, and other dry places. This would most likely cost plenty to find and ship out to me. Also, are cab swaps hard to do?
I'm not sure what I should do? I really like this truck and would like to keep it, but I guess I would have to decide if it is worth saving.

if it is just surface rust like mine, blast the cab then fill in the pitting with primer, sand smooth this should get it preped the what ever coting you want.
