I just bought a dually and need to sell my f250. 189000 miles. 94 7.3 IDIT 2wd. New IP and injectors and tires about 5k ago. Pillar guages and turbo back 4" exhaust. New front calipers and pads recently. Some minor hail dents. No mechanical issues. Roll on bed liner and. 5th wheel rails.
Book value is low. Just wondering what would be a good price.
Today we took my Bro in Law up to Lake Tahoe on the Calif side to buy a
94 F-250 turbo, super cab, new tires and oil change with about 400miles on them, and a rebuilt auto trans. almost exactly like yours
except for hail damage.
Think the mileage is around 160K.
I'd never pay more than $500 for a 2wd truck, particularly as it doesn't even have a factory leaf setup for easy conversion. You've probably got $2000 selling it whole for someone to part it out and still have some meat on the bone to be worth their while. I might ask $2500 and hope for the best, or just part it out myself and try to get more. If it really has zero rust you'll get more parting it out. Probably $1200+ for the bed alone if the tailgate is solid and straight too.
Around here 2wd trucks don't have much value, unless it's a dually maybe.
$2000 is low for an turbo idi ex-cab. You can never do harm by asking for more than you want/need. Here in Kansas there is currently a 2wd, ECLB, half ton, 302/351(can't remember), no rust, automatic listed for $3500. Will he get that much? Highly doubt it, your truck has a much better chance of getting that premium price. Now that there are a few more in junkyards, 05+ coil spring Super Duty axle swaps are a viable option.
