1997 f250 trans help

ok so i bought a 1997 ford f250 heavy duty it has the 5.8 in it with an e4od trans. I have the opertunity to buy a trans off of a 99 250 with a 5.4 in it

so what i would like to know is if the trans out of the 99 is it a direct fit to the 5.8

Short answer, NO.. The bell housing bolt pattern is different... Only 4.9, 5.0, and 5.8 bolt pattern are the same..
