Air cleaner help!!

On my 75 f100 4x4 360 the Air cleaner has the PCV filter coming out of the housing and also what looks like some kind of a sensor. It clips to the housing and has two electrical wires that snap into a plastic housing laying on the intake manifold. Need to know what this part is called as the wires are broken and I need to replace. Thanks in advance for your help.

Was the fitting going into the air cleaner/pcv or is the sensor in the intake manifold ?

It clips into the air cleaner, close to the PCV inlet, and the other end plugs into what appears to be an electrical unit.

DISTRIBUTOR MODULATOR SYSTEM

The actual part you are describing is an AIR TEMP SENSOR (Basic PN 12A164), part of the above named system.

9D695 is the crankcase ventilation filter. It's retained to the air cleaner with the 9E628 clip that also retains the 384411-S elbow.

9E607 is the air temp control sensor. 9E862 is the air temp sensor override valve.

12A164 is the distributor modulator temperature ambient switch. Complete part number: D5AZ-12A164-B (Motorcraft SW-1250) / Obsolete ~ 31+ available NOS
