Ok all, it seems as though there has been some really helpful info on here, so I hope that you may be able to help me out. I received help already today about where to find the fuel filter on my truck, and it has now been replaced, along with the air filter, and I also put a can of seafoam in the gas tank and filled it up....well....it seemed to help, somewhat, but now when it hits between 31-37 mph, I have to "punch" it to get it to take off. It shakes and jerks until I hit it full force on the petal. I have a 2000 Ford F150-V-8 Triton 4.6, can you help me out, please???!!!
well seeing that your truck is 4yrs old...not sure of your miles, you could try this, try cleaning your Maf sensor{mas air flow sensor}, with some sensor safe thottle body spray, remove the air filter, then spray into the air intake tube at the metal block in the air tube.next clean and inspect the PCV remove it clean and replace , have you had the plugs replaced recently? if not maybe consider doing this , use only OEM replacements, shop pricing if your not doing this your self, also wires and cap might be due too....also try reading some of the other threads in this forum to see if you see something simler to your trucks problems....lets us if you need more info.....BTW welcome to FTE
