ABS light came on a couple weeks ago and I finally got into troubleshooting it. I replaced the passenger front wheel speed sensor but that did not make any difference. I have 10.7v to the sensor/harness plug. I've also checked the continuity on both wires back to pins 26 and 27 on the ABS module plug. I thought maybe the female sockets might be loose in the harness plug so I slipped a strand of copper into each one and plugged the sensor back in. Still have the light. I can't get the code to clear with my code reader (Autel ML619). When I go to start the truck all the lights go through the startup cycle and when I start the truck the ABS light will be out for about 3 seconds and then it comes one. I've had it turn off once when driving for about 1 second (driving at night so it was noticeable). I tried moving the plugs around while doing the continuity checks and there was only a 0.1 ohm change in resistance (0.3-0.4 ohm). Really became an issue getting of the interstate the other day when I hit the brakes and the ABS did not let the right front wheel brake at all which lead to me almost staying on the interstate and going into another lane that had a car in it. Anyone got an idea for me? Buddy at work said that if the hub area around the tone ring gets dirty/greasy it can cause this kind of issue. Is he blowing smoke because it sounds like BS to me. Oh and all the pins look good on all the connections.
