I have now had 4 sensors fail and start leaking air. The sensor is still accurate but the dealer is replacing them and it fixes the pressure leak.
I have an F350 dually with aluminum rims. The first failure occurred on the front passenger tire at about 8000 miles. It leaked about 10 psi per day.
After that sensor was replaced, the new one leaked at about 2 psi per day.
Now at 9000 miles, the rear outside drivers side is leaking at 30 psi per day.
and 2 days later the rear outside passenger side is leaking at 5 psi per day.
the leaks start suddenly and don't stop until the sensor is replaced.
I have a failure in my front right but only after about 3 hours of driving. Never see an issue other than that. No leak just bad sensor readings in that one rim.
