Rear seat fold down arm rest.

Having just a bit of trouble with my order. I ordered a 2017 F350 XLT CCLB 4x4 6.2L . The build and price guide on the FMC website shows a picture of the interior when the build is complete and it includes the fold down armrest with cup holders in the rear seat. The fleet manager did not believe it was included but he is fighting with Ford over the accuracy of the build app.

I was wondering if any of you purchased or ordered an XLT and have the armrest in the rear seat. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

Angry

Our old MY2000 F250 XLT CC included a rear seat armrest. Our MY2017 F350 XLT CC was "de-contented" and does not have the rear armrest.

i really like our new truck, but I am aggravated by this mindless nickel-and-diving. My solution was been to purchase some optional equipment from third-party providers instead of from Ford. For example, our all-weather floor mats and mud-guards are from WeatherTech.

I also wish that the rear seat split configuration was 60% right side.

HTH,

Maybe it is standard on the Larriat.

We have a '17 F350 crew cab and I brought up the same thing to my dealer when I ordered. He said that only the trim levels with the leather come with the fold down armrest in the rear. It sucks too, because I much prefer the cloth seats over the leather but I would have really liked the rear arm rest.

Thank you for all the replies. One observation. Using the build and price app on the FMC website you have the choice of building a 2016 F350 XLT. When you do, the rear seats are pictured accurately. No arm rest. Perhaps Ford had thoughts of offering a leather trimmed upgrade for 2017 XLT interiors but decided not to.

I suggested to my dealer that Ford should step up and own their error by offering to cover my cost of purchasing an aftermarket console since I would have built my truck on the XL frame had I known. I'll kept the forum posted as to how it turns out.

Thanks again

A lot of times generic pictures are used in some ads. You can't always count on the picture representing accurate information sometimes.

My '17 XLT doesn't have a fold down armrest either, I noticed the picture showing one in the build and price also. I'm kinda glad it doesnt, liquids and a cloth armrest with cupholders sound like a recipe for a stained mess anyhow.

Agreed. This is shown on my build:

Exterior Interior Vehicle images displayed are computer generated graphics and are not photos of the vehicle ordered. They are only a facile and may not exactly represent your vehicle.
