94 F150 violent clunking
I have a 94 F150 extended cab longbox 5 spd, that is feeling a little sick. It started two days ago and has gotten considerably worse, to the point that I am parking it until I figure out what the problem is. It feels like the brakes are being jammed on for a split second and then released. It voilently shakes the rear of the truck. It seems to do it whenever it wants, there is no particular thing that causes it. Accerating, decelerating, cornering, going straight, all gears, stoping, starting, etc....It even happened once while I had the clutch pushed in. I am at a total loss, and would really appreciate any feedback.

This may sound incredibly weird but check the tranny fluid to make sure that it is still full, also check the entire drive line to see if any u-joints are bad, diff(s) have fluid, also check the axle bearings. I know that this probably won't be much help, but I hate seeing a post with no response.
