I have BFG KO2's. I had a set on my last rims, I've been happy with them. I have heard about fairly quick wear. Mine were in good shape after 15K, not much I know, but I suspect they would have gotten 40K. I like the 35's I have now, they are quiet, have a good ride and great traction in all weather. I'd rather have a good performing tire that may wear quicker than a tire that wears forever and doesn't perform as well. I also think they are one of the better looking tires. I did a great amount of research when buying. Honestly, my final decision came down to the look of the BFG's. It's a tough choice, especially considering the cost of a 35" tire. Good luck!

Took the tires from Discount Tire. Now I have to find someplace to mount and balance the 35's. Firestone said no as well.
In my research, many of the 'franchise' shops will not mount and balance tires that are 'out of their prescribed spec'. I'd find an independent shop or even one of those shops attached to gas stations that have a tire mount/balance machine to get these on. You can then take it to a fancy franchise to have them look at the alignment, if needed.
