E40D DON'TS!!
I was doing some wiring maintenance on my 94 f250 7.3 PSD, on the shifter switch. I had to remove the cable and the little arm that is bolted to the shifter shaft. When re installing the little arm I was tightening the nut and something let go inside the trany. See Pics.. The little roller thingy that defines what gear you are in.
So be aware, Use a back up wrench or vice grips to hold the leaver when tightening the nut.
Luckely I had a old e40d that I robbed the broken part.
Looks like the oil and filter need to be changed any way HA What a mess. Why don't they put drain plugs in auto trany's??
