Ford f350 code
I keep getting this v0100 code in my tuner. Says lost communication with pcm/ecm? Bit truck doesnt die. Still runs but the rpms goes way higher before turbo kicks in?? Any ideas what keeps causing this? Also my cluster gauge keeps shutting off and on so the cluster is going out. I will be replacing it. Do these two problems go hand in hand?

you most likely have a loos connector some place in the CAN bus network. Changing the cluster might not fix the problem. You need to try to find the loose connector. You didn't give the year of your truck. That might be a clue since there might be a common problem on some. BTW, the error code is U0100....not V0100

CAN is the network wiring that communicates between truck modules. You have a High Speed (HS-CAN bus) and probably a Medium Speed (MS-CAN bus). How extensive it is on your 2006, I have no clue. Maybe someone will chime is that has this problem and resolved it for your year truck.
