ok its end of shop class and some of us guyes are bsn about our rangers any how this kid says his 94 3.0L with a turbo running 3-6 lbs of boost, says its making over 250hp, is this possibe with a 94?, he says thats the only mod hes done other than K&N air flter, if that spec spread sheet is right than my 96 is making 150hp @5000 rpm, thats the most hp listed, the other ones are 145 @4800 rpm. since his is a 94 with just that turbo shouldn't be making any more than 200hp, maybe its me but are his numbers are a little off?
3-6lbs? I don't think so, for 250 hp he would have to be moving twice as much air as a stock and 3-6 lbs is not even close. Ask if it's an electric turbo
i know that for a supercharger, it is about 10hp per puond of boost. turbo and supercharger boost should be the same. stock on the vulcan is about 145 (at least it is for mine), so 100hp increase would mean 10lbs. of boost. The stock engine couldn't handle that.
