My poor little $400 Mazda 4x4 is dying. It's been a faithful DD for 5 years but the little guy needs head work and in a $400 truck that means TTR (Total Truck Replacement) to me.
I bought a 93 F150 yesterday, my first "new" Ford truck (my avatar shows my 76 F150). 300 l6, 5-sp, 2wd... nothing particularly exciting 'cept for the fact that it's always fun to bring a new truck home. If I wasn't already a FTE member, this truck probably wouldn't have prompted me join, but I'm already here and have learned so much about my dentside trucks and FE engines over the years from knowledgable members it seemed like a no brainer to come here and introduce myself.
I'll go pick it up later this morning, PO is swapping out the rear tires (still has studs from winter) and making a run to the DMV for me (Art of the Deal ).
I'll be chasing down a front and rear bumper before too long (both have gone missing) but other than that I have no plans to customize or modify this truck. As it was with the Maz, one of it's biggest features, at least in my mind, is that I have no desire to modify it at all.
The only thing I have modified on my 95 in 22 yrs is the radio, only after it quit, since then I had to add a subwoofer to it, I have come to the conclusion that modifications lead to more modifications.
