Alright. The plan: Cat back single to dual exhaust out the back. No muffler. Tips are now my concern.
Right now I have a single side dump in front of the rear tire. No muffler. Sounds alright, but there's a bit of a buzz when you really get on it. The buzz is what I want to get rid of. Truck has an EFI 302.
I want the agressive sound that I have now, but no buzz. Can the tips help with this? Looks are also important. I'm not crazy about the 3+ inch diameters, but if it will rid the buzz, I'll go for it. Any recommended lengths/diameters to fill out the sound? My truck is in the gallery, opinions on what you think would look good are welcome.
I plan to put a chrome bumper on back sooner or later (have to find one first), so that is a concern with keeping clean and looks. I don't want to dump out the sides.

If you out 3 or 4 inch boom tubes straight out the back it should look good. I would recommend 4 inch boom tubes at least 24 inches long. The larger boom tubes out the back create a rumble more then a buzz. Make sure that the pipes are the same size all the way back exept for the tips to give the best sound with no mufflers.
You may also want to have the cat's pressure tested to maek sure the buzzing isn't coming from there.
I wouldn't go with 4 inch boom tubes. Really I think they would look to big, and thats not what you want, well I dunno, I just think it would look too rediculous! I have 3 1/2 inch and I think they are too big!! Oh well they are on there now, can't take them off!
yea i agree with moose94...4 inch is way too big, imo. when i bought my pickup it had 4" by 18" out the side and it looked like crap, imo. so when i got it i put em out the back with about 3" diameter tips. thats as big as id probly go, maybe 3.5" but unlikely.
