37-39 Ford COE

Purchased a COE a couple weeks ago and having a tough time determining the exact model year. Going by the hood ornament, I'm guessing a 39' but want to make sure.

Will post other pictures when my computer wants to work.

Thank you.

I'm no COE expert but if I had to offer a guess I'd say 1940 based on the parking lights in the headlight stands but they might have been on earlier models as well. The V8 logo on the grill is similar to the 1938 p/u's and big trucks that 1939's did not have. Closed or open drive line? If its open its 1940 or later if my memory serves me correctly. Nice truck. Plans?

Definitely a '40.
Dual round gauges is '38-40, parking lights is '40-47, but the clincher is the 2 holes in the hoodsides in front of the vent doors. Only '40 had the 'Ford' script there, centered height-wise with the vent door. '38 (besides having mechanical brakes) and '39 had oval badges that weren't centered on the vent door- they were mounted higher up.

Good luck on the build- you've got some work to do now!

Parts

Thanks for your help thus far. Anyone know if there is an LMC type catalog that anyone makes for parts or what my best bet would be? My plans are to throw a box on it and do a rat rod pickup. Have a ford van chassis to use as a donor.
