Being old fashioned I believe in draining out the break in oil.

Another old fart here. I dumped oil at 1500 miles and put in 13 qts of Ford 15W40 diesel oil and a new ford filter.
Then at 5000 miles on the Odometer I dumped that oil and used Valvoline Premium Blue Extreme 5W-40 Synthetic and another New filter. The Valvoline is an approved oil for the new Ford specs.

I'll be changing oil at 5000 mile intervals and use Synthetic Valvoline 5W-40. Its probobly overkill but even at 70 years old I enjoy doing oil changes and oil is cheap insurance.
I installed a Fomoto drain valve which makes oil changes a lot let messy. Also ordered a 5 gallon plastic jug from Amazon
I take used oil to local advance auto parts and dump it in their recycle tank.
