No oil life display in 2017KR

No oil life display under settings/advanced settings. Only Oil Life reset. Now I am wondering when to do the first oil change (3200 miles) Wait for the change oil sign or should I do it sooner? About 2000 miles towing so far.

Unhappy

it appears that while the gas engine trucks get the oil life % display, the diesel engine trucks do not. Your truck's Intelligent Oil Life Monitor should give you alerts as you approach the end of the calculated oil life.

HTH,

I have already contacted my dealer and waiting for a reply. I just turned 9000 miles and have been pulling my travel trailer all summer. More than 4000 miles of that is towing a 7K trailer. Still no message for an oil change.

Oil life display

you can click on the oil life reset and it will show you your oil life remaining. Then if you want to reset it that is also where you do that, but it doesn't reset until after you've gone into the next screen menu and selected it again.

I know I have a lowly 2016 KR 6.7L PSD and with the DIESEL it will show
on the oil life either "OK" or "Change oil soon".....no percentage. And in. My 2011 with the 6.2 GAS truck, when you clicked on the oil life, it would show the percentage of oil life remaining. Now, did they change that for 2017?? From what I have read.........NO.

The diesel's don't show anything on oil life, you either have to use forscan to see it or just wait till the truck tells you "change oil soon"

My bad, my truck is gas, although mine doesn't show oil life either unless I've selected oil life reset. I figured all would be the same. Seems silly to me they could be different.

I set mine up to email me monthly vehicle health reports. I got my first one a few days ago. 3900 miles on the truck, 2000 of it towing my fiver. Health report said oil life at 63%. Don't think I'll wait much longer to change it. I think you need to have a Ford owner account to set everything up for your health reports. Had them on my 2014 as well. Keeps me from wondering when the change oil message will pop up.

I just have an account at owner.ford.com. Loaded in my vin# and my favorite dealer. Set up my profile with my email and it all works fine. Haven't really fooled with Ford pass.

That is helpful but wish the report was more frequent. 700 miles ago I was 17%, so I guess I should see a message very soon.

Yes from the mobile app, mine shows the same as yours. From the Ford owner site, it shows a little more information.
