I am looking to get headlights in my 54 and am missing 100% of the parts aside from the grill. I do have the parking lamps. Does anyone have a diagram of how they are assembled or something that shows what all parts are required?
You should have a shop manual. Check eBay for good used ones or buy a reproduction. Or at least call MidFifty and get a free catalog. They have lots of pictures and diagrams.
There are headlight buckets, springs, retainer for rings, etc, with a trim ring as the last piece .
Someone might be along later to post a diagram for you.
Thanks for posting the pin out. I ordered all my stuff this morning. I went with some of those LED halo lights on sort of an impluse purchase. I like them on everything I see them on. We'll see if I regret it later.
I got one of them Installed, I am pretty happy with them to be honest. There is a tab that sticks out up top on the headlight bucket. I thought about cutting it off but saw that the one from the shop manual had it as well.

I have them on my pickup too, I like them. I have them so they come on with switched power and use them as daytime running lights. Main reason I got them..
You can order the LEDs in amber for turning signal. But they are not dual purpose. I am running the turn circuit to the bulb underneath the headlight assembly and have amber lens to replace the old clear ones.
I like having the clear LEDs but they as they are currently wired they only come on when the switch is out halfway and they shut off when the headlights are on.
I could wire them to the tail light circuit to get them to stay on anytime the light switch is used.
The other possibility is to take ignition switched hot to make them daytime running lamps.
