Compression ratio
So I'm starting to look and research top end kits and components for a rebuild/upgrade to the stock 302. What I need though is the compression ratio for that sock 1981 302 engine. Would anyone happen to know these specs and if any engine builders out there have advice chime in.

Lowish. If you want a runner, late model Explorer heads are the answer. Dozens of questions are like this in the SBF forum. Look for Conanski, he has memorized all configurations of the SBF and knows which ones truck and which ones su... are in need of correction.
