I have a sliding rear window on my truck that needs new weather striping. Is there a source for the rubber that holds the fixed glass in the frame and for the sliding portion?
Should be the same if it's the "classic" body style. As opposed to the then-new light-duty F250 with the 7 lug wheels that looked like the then-new F150.
Not aware of any changes that Ford made to the classic body style for the last year or two of it's production.
And I thought I'd seen the rear weatherstripping available somewhere too. I just checked our own website, but it's catering to the Bronco crowd and does not list the pickup stuff.
Hopefully NumberDummy isn't correct that it's not reproduced. But I re-used mine when I changed rear sliders because it was still in such good shape 10 years ago when I did it.
And boy, what a difference inside the cab with the new window! Apparently a crap-ton of noise comes in through the old worn out slider seals. The quietness of the new one was immediately apparent.
Even with the old gasket.
When I redid mine on my '79 F250, I got it from the junkyard for under $30 complete for frame/glass/seal/tinted unbroken glass.
I pulled 4 windows because not one was good, built a complete set and went and paid for it. Remember, you can't use chrome trim moulding with no chrome trim frame or vise versa, so I understand from reading here.
The parts I used were a. Ompliation of trucks from 93 up. And anytime after that, I would scavenge any window latches that were not broken.
When I read his post I think he is looking for the weatherstrip around the fixed glass in the sliding window frame. Not the frame to truck weatherstrip.

That is correct, I want to "reseal" the fixed glass and install new channels for the sliding glass
A few years ago another member went through this same thing and could not find the parts he needed. I ended up sending him the pieces from my original slider. He wanted to keep the original look to his truck, which I can understand.
I would give CRLawrence a call or better yet begggg them for some pieces off the production line. I begged years ago and they started to reproduce an Early Bronco design, although not OE spec exact, it filled a niche. Just asking sometimes brings amazing results.

Sorry, I thought you wanted both the new window stuff AND the outer weatherstripping.
Never thought of rebuilding the original when a new one was $100 bucks. But I'm guessing by now they're probably double-and-a-half of that maybe?
