Ford F100 1961 Flareside long bed -> wheelsize?

Hi Guys,
what size of wheels are possible for an original Ford F100 1961 Flareside long bed?
Both in width as well as in height.
Where can i find wheel spacers in 5x5.5 for this truck?

Thanks for answers.

Martin

All 1953/79 F100's have 5 lug wheels on a 5.50" bolt circle.

1961 F100's came with 15" wheels as standard equipment, 16" wheels were optional.

1961 F100's were also available with optional 17.5" x 5.25" wheels. These wheels required different front fenders that have a 45" opening radius.

1961 F100's with 15 & 16" wheels came with 36" opening radius fenders.

Try Summit racing for wheel spacers. I run 235/75/R15s on my truck, but they are a more original look. Not so wide as to make steering too difficult.

O.K.
Why do you need wheel spacers?
Standard 15x6 or 15 x 7 in 5 x 5 1/2 should do well with no spacers.

Dang... I'm going to look over a 65 F250 tomorrow. It wasn't supposed to be a project but that long Flareside bed is too cool for school.

As for trying to figure out what size rims/tires will fit, you're gonna need a plumb bob, a straight edge, and a tape measure.
