I have lost the door handles/ armrests for the rear doors on my 86 crew cab and I can't seem to find new ones, is it possible to use rear door panels off an 88 crew cab as long as i use the handles and all that go with them? I have a set of doors off an 88 in storage that have the right color panels on them if they will work I know the doors themselves would interchange but they are the wrong color. Thanks
All I am missing is the arm rests, I have pieced together everything else but the door panels are in poor condition anyway and should be replaced. They are blue in color obviously the left side is in much better shape than the right. Thanks for your help number dummy!

I shoulda asked you this 'up front.' ~ Is this an F350?
If so, the 1984/86 F350 Crew Cab rear door armrests are the same as the front door armrests of 1984/89 Escort/Lynx 4 door sedans & station wagons.
E5FZ-7424140-A9B Right & E5FZ-7424141-A9B Left .. Blue Armrests / Obsolete
If you cannot find blue, you could dye whatever color(s) you find.
It is an f350, I can probably find a late 80's escort at pull a part so that is handy info. I wonder if that company that buys all the obsolete ford parts has them. Thanks
If the OP plugs these part numbers into Green Sales' website, guess what their answer will be?
Sorry, we don't have the parts. Originally, Green added "at this time."
The reason is, when typing FoMoCo part numbers into Green Sales' (or PartsVoice.com) website, the hyphens MUST be removed.
Type 'em like this E5FZ7424140A9B & E5FZ7424141A9B
Why don't I type 'em like this? Because the hyphens are original and most people don't run part numbers on Greens websites for verification, they call the free 800 number instead.
btw: Green Sales has the right side only (800-543-4959). HIGH BUCK! Bob Allen Ford has both sides (913-381-2999). No one else has any.
Green Sales' parts inventory is listed on their website, on the dealer locator, on partsvoice.com and rearcounter.com
rearcounter.com: No registration required, just sign on and type the part number with: spaces (E5FZ 7424140 A9B), hyphens (E5FZ-7424140-A9B), asterisks (E5FZ*7424140*A9B)

Yep, you're right!
I was taking it for granted that people would read their instructions for checking part numbers in which they clearly tell you to remove the hyphens and don't confuse numeral zero with letter O.

Unless they've added instructions inre to this jazz recently, Green Sales doesn't tell you squat on how the numbers need to be typed, only rear counter does.
I've been dealing with Green Sales since you were four years old.

Huh... I seem to remember these instructions for the last 10 years - those in the yellow box:
Huh... I seem to remember these instructions for the last 10 years - those in the yellow box. Who typed the part numbers you checked over the past 10 years? It wouldn't have been me, because I list the sources, so who else woulda done it?
How long have these instructions been in place? Certainly not for the past 10 years, in fact not very long...at all, you wanna know why?
Because for the past 10 years, you had to type the letter O for the 2nd digit at Green Sales. If you typed the zero 0 you got the we don't have the part wheeze.
When I called Tim Youmans (owner of Green Sales) about 9 years ago and asked him about the O jazz, he said that's the way FoMoCo does it.
But I said, Tim, this only applies to 1980, because Ford changed it, most parts peeps say C OWE .. D OWE .. E OWE when reading part numbers, not C ZERO .. D ZERO .. E ZERO
So the parts get entered on websites with the O not the zero.
But, I just typed COAZ9202B into Green and guess what? None in stock, so I typed it C0AZ9202B instead.
They have 3. 'Course FoMoCo and others have more than 3 because this puppy is still available.
I also remember the rigamarole I had go thru, explaining to you the proceedure when I listed parts that were available.
You were confused, I patiently told you, but it wasn't until you got here...that I could show you.

I remember the stuff about the O and 0 but was too lazy to type it.
