Well good news is I finally got the car back together and running. Took it out for a rest drive and the bad news happened....got into a fender bender and now it's going to the body shop. Feel like I just can't win. Least everybody is ok...
Nick, Sorry to hear about the fender bender. Hope that it costs less than mine did. I was $2500 for a passenger rear quarter panel on an F250.
Good News Guys! (Sorta). It is supposed to be cooling down significantly for the coming week! I'm looking at the tempatures being in the 80's up here in the Northern Valley all week, but I'm not sure that the Boy Scouts will be prepared for the 40's-50's for the lows next weekend.
Got my quote back from body shop, will cost 2900 after my deductible. Going to be a trunk lid, bumper cover, rear sonar, and paint...that's before any hidden damage. Guess that's what I pay insurance for.
Well work was interesting, managed to hit a car with our train leaving a station. Guess I get some much needed time off to decompress and unwind. Fortionatly no injuries to my crew or passengers, and the occupants of the car had enough smarts to get out of the vehicle before we got there.
Sitting here at work, enjoying the soreness I gained from flopping around UNDER my house running a 240V romex wire to my pressure pump on the other side of the house... It's currently 120V with some romex plugged into an outlet on the back deck.
My well pump sends water up to a 5000 GAL tank on the hill. Gravity flows it back to the house, but it's not enough pressure for showers and sprinklers so there's a pump with a small pressure vessel. It's still currently functioning, but makes a loud Ca-Chunk when turning off. Me thinks it's on borrowed time! I bought a pump just like it wired for 240V. Should be nice and smooth and more efficient with the higher voltage.
Good news is everything looks nice and dry and clean under there.

We have a similar setup. Several years ago we replaced our metal-tank pressure vessel with a composite (wound fiberglass) 80-gallon pressure vessel. The old one had rusted after (I presume) the inner bladder had sprung a leak. The new one has been a faithful servant.
We used to get a lot of noise when that pressure pump ran. When we installed the fiberglass pressure vessel, I re-mounted the pressure pump in a concrete base. It's nice and quiet now; you don't hear it unless you're right next to the shed.
