The DVR is the one thing I would miss, but I could set up a computer to use as a DVR if I need it.
I don't watch the news, too depressing, and after the crap the past couple weeks, I have no desire to ever see another football game. Keep your politics out of your job. The over paid crybaby snowflakes can't stand and respect our flag and country while getting paid millions to play a game! I have no use for that. When they are suited up the are at work. You want to protest something, do it on your own time. They may have freedom of speech, but that doesn't mean freedom from the repercussions that my occur from their actions.
there was a church shooting but it didn't even make an honorable mention on most news channels because the sports crap was so much more important.
Hey guys, new to this site, and southern nevada; just moved to that goofy town of pahrump NV. Still living in the (ford based) RV until we find a house to buy; don't ask how thats going. Need local info on good and bad shops. Originally from Ohio, enjoying the nice dry heat.
Thats good on the no smog stuff. They would not like my RV. 4bbl carb on a 460, no air pump, no converter and I suspect cracked exhaust manifolds. Staying at the wine ridge RV park on the south side of town; got mountain views on 2 sides and the high winds that go with them. Odd question since I am from Ohio; Does nevada require inspections on vehicles originally registered out of state? Hoping to just to to the DMV here in town and switch stuff over. How do I become a member of the nevada chapter? Thanks
As far as I know it's just a VIN inspection. We moved here from Florida and we had to get the car smogged (in Vegas, not Pahrump) and a VIN inspection for the plates.
Got it for $2,500 up in ohio back in march. This pic was taken right after we brought it home. Drove it 2,200mi cross country pulling a 20ft trailer with the wife's '07 CRV on it. Got around $6g invested in it. Have 2 large dogs and 2 cats so hotels while traveling are out of the question. Come out & see it if you get a chance. Theres an older one for sale on route 160 here in town, been there a while. Oh, the RV averaged 6mpg on gas on the trip out; keep in mind the whole combo weighed around 17,000lbs or so
They do a VIN inspection. But won,t license without smog.
If you try to go to Pahrump or some place else. Be ready for a visit from The State fraud division. They are real hep to people from LV licensing in other counties. I registered my cars & changed DL to my address to my new home in Goldfield. (I have never lived or registered anything in Las Vegas, I have lived 55 years in Nevada) The next thing I know I get a call from the fraud division of the State DPS. I had to prove I live there or face charges of fraud a FELONY.
We are getting ready to buy a house here in pahrump. vegas is too crowded and over priced. been living in stated RV since july 6 when we got out here. The carb'd 460bb didn't like the heat and kept running so hot it vapor locked; keep in mind it uses an electric fuel pump mounted on the frame, non return setup(for now). Wife just has a regular license to switch over; I have a CDL-A to switch plus I need to add a passenger endorsement so I have more job options. Ideas on radiator situation?
Good morning Nevada! We have a lot of out of state people that have moved here from Kansas, Iowa, and South Dakota, that don't register their cars in Nebraska, too frickin' expensive.
